Indonesia COVID-19 Update May 7: Add 218 Cases, 6,427 Active Cases

Jakarta – The number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia increased by 218 positive cases on Saturday (7/5/2022). Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients increased by 307, died 14. Previously, on Friday (6/5/2022), Indonesia recorded a total of 6,047,986 cases of COVID-19, 5,885,099 cases recovered and 156,357 cases died.

  • New cases increase by 218, total cases to 6,048,204
  • Recovered cases increased by 307, total recovered to 5,885,406
  • Death cases increased by 14, total death to 156,371

The World Health Organization (WHO) has just announced the official figures for the number of victims of the COVID-19 pandemic for the period 2020-2021.

Based on data, there are around 14.9 million people who died due to the pandemic or in a broad estimate of around 13.3-16.6 million people.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said this data could be a reference so that countries begin to prepare strong and strong health systems in the future.
