The Rossoneri have successfully ended their 11-season Serie A title drought, having last won the Scudetto in 2010/2011. Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, is clearly a key figure behind Milan’s success in winning this Serie A title.
Unfortunately for Pioli. The champion’s medal disappeared and it was suspected that a bad person had deliberately taken the pendulum from his medal, which was hanging around his neck.
Well, the thief appears to have identified himself via social media by posting on Instagram Stories. The medal was shown in his hand with the caption: ‘Thank you Pioli.’
Pioli has already expressed his hope that there will be a replacement medal from the Lega Serie A side.
“My championship medal was stolen, someone took it off my neck. If I could ask for a replacement, I would be grateful, it’s the only one I have,” Pioli was quoted as saying by La Repubblica.
Serie A responded to Pioli’s request. They will provide a substitute champion medal for the 56-year-old coach.
“Don’t worry Mr Pioli, we will give you another medal tomorrow,” the Serie A side wrote on their Twitter account.
